[Project:ThreeSixFive] Day [XXXVII].

The human body is 37ºC. Normally.

Another late post, but I've been up for hours making things happen. It's been really fun but I'm so very tired.

For today:

This was my work space for a good while today. It's my wifey's Granny's work space, normally, but I took over for the afternoon. My wifey's Granddad made this cabinet and set the shelf with the sewing machine at a lower height so that it's more comfortable to sew on. Thoughtful.

Finally back to drawing some of the characters I created last year. I had a bit of waiting time at the Social Security office this morning, but it was all good - I should be getting my number through in the next 10 days! This is very good.

Well. I've been sewing so much my fingers are raw. I'll stop typing.

[Project:ThreeSixFive] Day [XXXVI].

There are 36 inches in a yard.

So the Giants won the Superbowl! Pretty happy. I'd be happier if the Eagles won it, but I suppose the Giants will do. David Tyree (yea, the helmet catch guy last time the Giants won) is going to be speaking at the Genesis conference next weekend and I am so stoked to be able to hear him and possible meet him. The line up? John Gray, Craig Gross, David Tyree, Josh Mayo and a few others. Quite literally some of the most sought-after people in the States at the moment. They'll be talking and teaching at this conference. I cannot recommend it enough.

For today:

This is the second one of these things I've seen here. Unfortunately, I've not seen them in action - I believe they roam the fields, watering the crops. I'd love to see them doing their thing.

So here's my day in pictures. Sonic breakfast, sitting in on the camera director at church this morning, mexican for lunch, back to church (that looks like a giant Hershey's kiss) for a prayer meeting, to a friend's house to record a party scene for http://genesisconference.tv/ and then on to another friend's house for a Superbowl party.

I'm so happy that I have been able to watch the Superbowl and be home before 10! Normally, it finishes at 4:30am, so to be able to watch it in America has been pretty amazing.

It is bed time. I've got jobs to apply for tomorrow! I'm so happy! My God is a good God.

[Project:ThreeSixFive] Day [XXXV].

35 is the minimum age for election to the United States Presidency.

My wifey and I were babysitting today. Childsitting, really. They were really well behaved kids, which was nice. Most of the day was made up of watching Spongebob, Pixar films and Fairly Odd Parents. Really good day.

I also picked up an application form for the shop round the corner. No messing about. I want to take my wifey on a date :) (I realise there are tickets to buy and more visa stuff to pay for, but first thing's first).

For today:

This is the bird that was at the house we were babysitting at today. This was the best photo I got of it and I managed to make it look like it was kept in terrible conditions. It wasn't. The cage was a pretty nice size, I just didn't get it in this photograph.

This is a drawing. I drew out some templates for a doll. Drawing.

Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day... We have church in the morning and I'm starting to learn how to do the cameras, so I'm well stoked for that. Then we have a big ol' prayer meeting about the conference coming up next weekend. If you haven't heard - get involved!

I can't wait. It's only the second time that I've been able to watch the Superbowl at a good time. Normally it finishes at 4:30 am and I have to drag myself into uni on the Monday afterwards. NOT THIS TIME.

Well, today has been fairly chilled out. There was some amazing sheet lightning on the way home and now that the storm has passed, we can relax and listen to the rain and the rolling sound of distant thunder. Speaking of that, big news! My little brother is in a band called Brontide and they are getting ready to release their new single - dates to come (when they tell me when they're releasing it). Also, he's going to be in Kerrang magazine (possibly only UK?) because he has just joined another band on a higher label. He's known them for ages and it's really encouraging to see him do so well. The other band is called Rolo Tomassi.

For today:

Yea, that's right. PERMISSION TO WORK. Right here. It came through this morning. Only two months late, but in time for me to get some work here! I'm applying for my Social Security number tomorrow and then I'll be applying for a couple of jobs on Monday! Happy day!

Buh. Buuuuhhhh. A half-finished doodle starting with a low opacity scribble and going from there. I'd have finished it but there was a thunderstorm and I wasn't wanting to plug up my computer to the charger and other excuses. I do like pen, I have to say. It's taking a while to get used to photoshop.

Babysitting tomorrow. Should be fun. Hopefully the kids we're looking after enjoy sitting in the Social Security office :D

[Project:ThreeSixFive] Day [XXXIII].

Mexico has 33 states.

I didn't take my camera out with me today, which I always regret. I went out with a good friend to the outdoors and we shot at sticks and things and walked round in the woods. I spent 20 minutes or so tonight trying to dig a thorn out of my leg. Worth it.

In light of not taking my camera with me, here's a disappointed post.

For today:

My hat also felt left out because I left it at home with my camera. So they teamed up for today's photo and now I'm sorry that I don't have anything more interesting to show you.

You know what? Some days I'm just not able to draw as much as I want. Or what I want. I'm in all day tomorrow, so after some cleaning, I can get back to drawing things that are fun and all that. I was going to hold my breath for the time it took for this image to upload to this blog, but I didn't even finish breathing in before it had done.

Bad day for photos and drawing, but a good day for being outside and doing things.

And hey, it's still a photo and a drawing.

[Project:ThreeSixFive] Day [XXXII].

A leech has 32 brains. And in '32, the Three Musketeers bars were introduced. Their flavours were Strawberry, Chocolate and Vanilla. Now there's only one and no-one knows why it's called Three Musketeers.

It's the first day of February. Now that it's the second month of this year - and the project - I'm not going to know what the date is by simply numbering the day of the project... Eh.

For (an early) today:

The cat and the dogs are asleep. My wifey is napping. I'm watching House and drawing. It's pretty relaxing.

Two more ideas for the Lion-like Heroes of Moab. I figured they were referred to as the Lion-like Heroes because of either their stature and build or the way they fought. And I figured lions don't use shields - they're not going to withdraw or cower - so I'll give them two short swords, instead of one sword and a shield. They'd probably get as close to whoever they're fighting as possible, so I don't want to give them ranged weapons - or make their swords too big.

My wifey and I are off into town in a bit. I'm going to get ready.

[Project:ThreeSixFive] Day [XXXI].

There are 31 days in the month of January. I have posted at least one picture in each of those days this year.

To all who have visited this blog after seeing my tweet, HEY! Thanks for taking the time to do that. I don't mind if you don't want to read everything all the time, but have a scroll around and see my other entries this month. It's been a pretty nice month.

For today:

A few of these flowers surround my drawing table. They're really nice. My mum made hundreds of them for our wedding. Hundreds. My wifey's bouquet was made of them, each of the five groomsmen and myself had one on our tuxedos, they were on the edges of the aisles and they were made as hair pins and given out as favours to all the lady guests. Hundreds.

A rough picture for one of the two characters I'm wanting to draw. I was reading 2 Samuel 23 today and I want to draw loads of characters based on the chapter.

Here it is (starting at verse 8 and going to verse 23):

" ⁸These are the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite who sat in the chief seat among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite. He lifted up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time. ⁹And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David when they defied the Philistines who were there gathered together for battle, and the men of Israel had gone away. ¹⁰He arose and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand cleaved unto the sword; and the LORD wrought a great victory that day, and the people returned after him only to despoil. ¹¹And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. It's a fair bit to read, but it's pretty inspiring. Makes me want to buy a sword. The drawing is going to be one of the two lionlike men of Moab (in verse 20). I had a good time just alternating between the brush and the eraser in photoshop to get a basic doodle. Still not as satisfying as working in pen on paper, but a start nonetheless.

Arkansas are playing Vanderbilt at the moment. It's 71-60 Arkansas and I can't see them falling behind at all. 16-0 for the Hogs!
