[Project:ThreeSixFive] Day [XLV].

A footy match is two halves of 45 minutes. Also, I fired a .45 handgun and it nearly took my hands off. Nearly.

Straight to it.

For today:

My wifey and I were at the mall doing some Valentine's Day chilling out together. As one gentleman passed us, he shouted "SUPERMAAAAAN!" I smiled and said "Yeea."

(The photo I wanted to post here didn't save to the card on the camera. Because the card for the camera was left in the house this morning... It was just a picture of outside. After the snow day yesterday, today's sun and T-shirt weather was something of a stark contrast.)

I tried to draw the dog with my eyes closed. I think I did a great job. I really caught the sparkle in his eyes.

In other news, the university I graduated from last June (2011) - the University of Central Lancashire - is using one of my drawings in the title banner of their Games Design gallery page! I'm well happy. I didn't even know until I decided to browse their blog to see what's going on there at the moment. Yea, my images has been flipped and altered somewhat... and it was just a quick doodle of a character to get an idea for it, but I'm still really happy that my work has been chosen out of the class of maybe 50 other people!

Tomorrow is apply for more jobs day. I'll be filling in forms and getting them to several places around the town.

I also want to start learning how to crochet. But that's an aside.

Also also, now that this has arrived at it's destination, I can reveal it to the masses. This was for my good friend Phil. A four-armed rabbit man. I also sent him a little wire man and a handful of tootsie rolls. I'm glad they got there.

It's my 100th post! Happy Blogday.

For today:

SNOW DAY! That's right. If I went to or worked at the school, I would have had today off. And I wouldn't have had to have acted ill, either! Fantastic. It rained a few hours after this photo was taken, but hey. It was here long enough for school to cancel. And to start an hour later tomorrow. Good stuff.

A doodle for my Box o' Reference. It's not as big as the one I have back home, but it's always good to have something like this. Just a box - any size you want - filled with the torn or cut out images from magazines and things that you think you could find useful in the future. I had loads of magazines that I hadn't read for a couple of years and I knew that the only reason I had them was because there was some really good reference images. Either photographs, concept art, game art, etc. I figured I wasn't going to read year-old articles about games that were coming out that have now been out for a while, so I started to go through these piles of magazines and save the smaller, lighter images I wanted as opposed to the whole, bigger and more weighty magazines.

It's time for bed. There's a whole lot of hope that it's going to snow tomorrow. And that's tiring.

[Project:ThreeSixFive] Day [XLIII].

+43 is the international dial code for Austria. I've done an international dialing code fact before, but it was either this one or a presidential one. And I didn't want to do a president-related fact two days in a row...

It's been a pretty full-on day. At least I think it has been. My wifey assures me it's been a normal Sunday.

For today:

The photo I took with my camera disrupted or something, so unfortunately I can't present you with another picture of one of the dogs sleeping on the couch. Instead, here's my somewhat aged wristband from the conference that really needs to come off my arm.

I call this piece 'No Dice'. It's a representation of the time I've had to draw this weekend.

I really hope I can make it through the year! It's going to be hard and I'm just a bit worried about getting stressed out by this project. It's quite a demand, but I'm going to do my best. As long as I can find a more decent hour to make my posts, I think I'll be able to manage.

I know, I know, I said that I was going to share more about the guys I mentioned yesterday, but I really need some sleep. My wifey and I are going to be hanging out with the Master's Commission students tomorrow, so we're having to be up early in order to leave with her mum in the morning.

[Project:ThreeSixFive] Day [XLII].

Apparently on Facebook chat, you can type in ':42:' and it will appear as a white number in a red box. This is only the case with the number 42.

My wifey and I have just got back from Genesis Conference and it was amazing! It was an incredible couple of days and we are so blessed because of it. We've met a load of incredible people and had the honour and privilege of hearing some phenomenal speakers.

The speakers included:

Pastor John Gray.

Craig Gross.

David Tyree.

Josh Mayo.

I will put more detail in tomorrow's post as to who these people are - we just need to get to bed because we're exhausted!

For today:

This was OneBand leading worship this evening. Every single member of the team did a fantastic job in helping us all to worship. It's not about the band and it's easy to tell that they know that. They worship and play their hearts out and it's both refreshing to see and encouraging to be part of.

It's a drawing. I've been taking notes all day.

I'm off to bed. I'll have more time tomorrow to tell you what went on last night and today, but I just can't at the moment :)

-40 is the only point at which Celsius and Fahrenheit meet. It's cold.

Today, I got application forms from just about every business in the town. I've already handed a couple in, so I'll be hoping to give the rest back in tomorrow.

Talking of tomorrow... genesisconference.tv <---- go here and sign up. By this time tomorrow, we'll have already finished the first sessions. BUT NOT TO WORRY. It's not this time tomorrow yet, so there's still a whole lot of time to sign up. Or you can just turn up at 5:30 and pay on the door. $40. Bargain.

For today:

I did this yesterday but took a photo this morning. This was from about 20 yards with no scope. I'm pretty happy with it! I got another one too, but only really nicked the side of it.

This was me telling my wifey what I want to look like when I'm swing dancing. Not so much the stance.

Just watched a couple of episodes of Downton Abbey. It's getting good. Mudcats is on at the moment, but I think I'll go to bed. Need to save my energy for genesisconference.tv tomorrow night.

[Project:ThreeSixFive] Day [XXXIX].

Jewish law identifies 39 activities actively prohibited on Shabbat - the day of rest. Some of these include: tying, untying, sewing, writing, transferring between domains, applying the finishing touch and extinguishing a fire.

Fortunately, none of my friends are hardcore Jews, so if I'm aflame one fine Saturday afternoon, I'll be fine. Or at least not on fire for much longer.

I wonder how many of these I've done on a Saturday...

I've sorted, cooked, done laundry, made two loops, separated two threads, tied, untied, sewn, done some measured cutting, written, erased, built, demolished, ignited a fire, extinguished a fire, applied a finishing touch and transferred between domains. 17/39.

Fortunately, I have Christ and I won't be denied eternal life in glory with Him for tearing some fabric at the end of the week...

For today:

Here's my wifey shooting her dad's .22 rifle. This is such a fun gun! You will go through a few hundred rounds in a couple of hours. We shot at cans and bottles, pennies and spend shotgun shells. It was great! My father-in-law also brought out his 12-gauge shotgun and his beautiful 30-30 Winchester lever-action rifle. That thing was loud!

Quick rough for what might be the fifth Ninja Turtle. I'm not sure yet.

Also from today:

A little tree that was felled by a beaver! I know they're in the area, but I haven't seen anything like this until now. Love it! I picked up a walking stick last week and carried it all afternoon only to be told at the end of the day - and once I'd snapped it up - that it was a beaver stick.

And here's the bug from yesterday. Threw some colour on it before bed last night. Only half of the colour counts for today since I started it before midnight, bleh.

Once again, genesisconference.tv is where you need to go to see what's going on in Fort Smith this weekend. It's going to be amazing and I cannot wait.

Also,

Here's a video from this afternoon. My father-in-law threw up a little bottle for me to shoot. I got it, even though it's hard to see that on the video. Don't worry - we cleared up after ourselves.

There was one more thing, but I can't remember what it was...
